Cottage in the Cotswolds

The Rooms and the Outside Areas

Here we show you some interior shots and put the cottage in context.  Click on any picture to enlarge it.

The bathroom

The second floor bathroom has been completely updated, as can be seen in the picture, showing one end.

The kitchen

The ground floor kitchen-diner has everything you need for a week's stay: electric cooker, microwave, fridge, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, kettle, toaster, coffee making equipment, etc.

Notice also the wood-burning stove, handy for chilly evenings.  Wood is provided.  (Of course the cottage is centrally heated.)

Off the kitchen is a cloakroom and toilet.

The sitting room

This is the first of two views of the first floor sitting room, taken from the window seat.

The sitting room

A second picture of the sitting room, showing the windowseats looking over the garden; the stairs up to the bedroom can be seen on the upper right.

All the pictures on the walls in the cottage relate to Blockley in some way.

The bedroom

The ensuite bedroom on the second floor contains a double bed and has a small wardrobe.  Notice the apex roof- a very attractive room.

Off the bedroom is the bathroom (bath with shower, sink and toilet).

The cottage garden
This is a view of the patio garden and the shared grassed area beyond, taken in early May. The apple tree (it produces Russet apples in season) is in blossom. The table provides a peaceful and private spot to sit outside enjoying the sunshine.
The cottage in context

Apple tree cottage is the one on the right of the picture; there are two further cottages up the hill.

You can see the entrance route to the cottages is down the hill, through the arch onto the private driveway.  This picture is taken from the parking area.

You can also see the grassed area in front of the cottages.  To the left, out of shot, is an attractive garden belonging to the mill flats.  Beyond that is the millstream.

The row of cottages and the former mill itself, are all grade II listed.
